The EU has informed the WTO of its intention to revise the CLP Regulation. Substances and mixtures are required to be classified, labeled and packaged 18 months after the date of entry into force of the amendment.

RAPEX notifications have been stable since 2012. In 2019, the total number of notifications was 2,243. There was also an increase in the number of EU Member State follow-up actions: 4,477.

The US state of Oregon has issued a proposal for eliminating High Priority Chemicals of Concern for Children’s Health (HPCCCHs) in three categories of children’s products. Comments will be accepted until July 23, 2020.
